SecondBite is a leading food rescue organisation. They collect and distribute wasted food to over 1,000 community food programs across Australia. So far they have rescued and distributed the equivalent of 100 million meals.
OzHarvest Melbourne started food rescue operations in 2014 to ensure vulnerable people in local communities are supported with fresh and nutritious food. Their seven yellow vans are out and about rescuing surplus food from 457 food businesses throughout Melbourne, delivering more than 320,000 meals every month to 150 charities supporting those who need it most.
